STERIS CLEANASCOPE solves the “missing link” in the endoscope reprocessing chain: short-term transport and storage of a clean, dry endoscope from the moment it leaves the reprocessor until use on the patient. An impeccably reprocessed endoscope can be recontaminated if transported unprotected or placed on non-sterile surfaces.

The system uses a microbiologically validated single-use or reusable transport cover/container that keeps the endoscope protected from physical shock and ambient contamination. The design allows clear identification of “clean” status (vs dirty), labeling with reprocessing date and time, and ergonomic inter-department transport without bending or tensioning the endoscope. CLEANASCOPE integrates with the STERIS reprocessing workflow (after ENDODRY or the reprocessor) and supports compliance with clean-endoscope handling standards — a point frequently flagged in infection-control audits.
