About the product
The GE MAC 5 is the latest addition to GE HealthCare’s touchscreen ECG family — designed to streamline the ECG workflow in practices, hospitals and emergency departments. It combines simplicity, precision and data security in a compact, easy-to-move and easy-to-clean design that fits naturally into the existing IT framework.
At its core is the Auto-ECG5 algorithm, which automatically captures and displays the first clean, high-quality ECG — reducing the number of exam steps by up to 31%. Smart Lead technology automatically detects a disconnected electrode or a newly connected patient. Enhanced Hookup Advisor guides the assistant through correct electrode placement.
For diagnostic support, the MAC 5 uses the proven Marquette™ 12SL™ interpretation, plus a critical-values algorithm that immediately highlights urgent situations (STEMI / ischemia). The 8.9-inch touchscreen, refined over thousands of hours of real-user testing, offers intuitive navigation. Built-in PDF / XML export to shared folders or SFTP, with secure patient-data management.
