About the product
The SMEG BPW (Bedpan Washer) is the automatic machine dedicated to washing and disinfecting bedpans, urinals, collection vessels and other containers used at the bedside. It drastically reduces staff biological exposure, eliminates direct contact with contaminated materials and ensures validated disinfection per EN ISO 15883-3.
Ergonomic, hands-free operation — sensor or pedal door opening, automatic bedpan/urinal loading, fast cycle (3–5 minutes), thermal disinfection at 90°C with A0 ≥ 600. Space for 1–2 bedpans + 1–2 urinals per cycle, automatic dosing of detergent and disinfectant. Mandatory in wards with immobilized patients — geriatrics, ICU, neurology, immunocompromised oncology, pre/post-operative wards.
