The "e" stands for "enhanced". The 1000e keeps the same internal-turbine platform but adds important features over the bellavista 1000:

The ventilator adjusts itself, for every breath
The bellavista 1000e incorporates a set of "auto" algorithms that reduce manual parameter handling and protect the lungs through perfect synchronisation with the patient's effort — especially essential in NIV and weaning.
SYNCHRONISATION
auto.sync · auto.rise · auto.leak
Three algorithms that work independently: they detect the optimal expiratory threshold, adjust the pressure rise time breath by breath and automatically compensate for NIV leaks.

ADAPTIVE MODE
AVM — Adaptive Ventilation Mode
You set the patient's weight and the target minute volume. The ventilator automatically calculates the optimal combination of tidal volume and rate, continuously adjusting as the patient regains spontaneous effort — speeding up weaning without repeated manual settings.

HFOT
High-flow oxygen — integrated
Unlike the bellavista 1000, the 1000e includes HFOT (High-Flow Oxygen Therapy) as a native mode. It enables high-flow therapy with no additional equipment — useful in acute hypoxemic respiratory failure, post-extubation and NIV failure.
